OUR STORY

SRAAS was born in a teeny tiny spasticity clinic at Victoria General Hospital. Each member of the clinic team has dedicated both their professional, and much of their personal, lives to spasticity care.

There were many times when research could not continue due to limited funding. Our work has been sustained through donations, and as a team, we recognized that becoming a non-profit society would allow us to host events, share community stories, and expand our outreach.

Endless hours have gone into developing sraas so we can continue our mission.

We were deeply grateful to receive a grant from the Town of View Royal, which allowed us to host our very first event in Victoria, BC. We were truly overwhelmed by the support, over 250 people attended, helping us raise approximately $30,000 for spasticity research and care.

We are so grateful to all of you for your support.

Love,

The SRAAS team
