Pediatric Spasticity Awareness

How can a child with spasticity explain the condition to peers?

Spasticity is when my muscles get really tight, like they’re trying to pull together all the time, even when I don’t want them to.

Imagine if you were trying to move your arm, but it feels like it is stuck in cement and hard to move because the muscles are holding it too tight.

Sometimes, it makes things like walking or picking up things harder, but I’m doing exercises and getting help so it gets better and easier.

Pediatric Cryoneurolysis

Cryoneurolysis is now being performed in patients as young as three years old.

Watch the video below for a before and after demonstration of cryoneurolysis in a pediatric patient.

Our team has created a children's book to help explain cryoneurolysis to pediatric patients in a supportive and accessible way. We invite you to consider donating to help us publish and distribute the book to pediatric cryoneurolysis centers.

Asha’s Story
